B Angie B?  ‘Memba her?

B Angie B was M.C. Hammer’s songstress extraordinaire.  A Hammer Time protege, Angie rode the the entertainment bandwagon circa 1991 before disappearing into the One Hit Wonder Spotlight.

I never knew she was referred to as the Queen of Dance.  Seems a stretch of the title considering Janet Jackson was rocking the mic during this time.  Hmmm.. I’m guessing this title was self-proclaimed.

The Clean Up Woman

What’s proper showstoppers?  Turn up your speakers and check out this live performance of Betty Wright singing her signature hit the Clean Up Woman.  I’m off to get the Bougiedom headquarters ready for house guests.  I’ll be cleaning, scrubbing and rub-a-dubbing – I’m the literal Clean Up Woman.

I’ll be back on it later.  So enjoy the video.  And check out the lyrics.  Betty is a t-r-i-p.

“Janet Jackson got a platinum broom – she’s cleaning up…

Now Madonna’s got a nasty broom – but she’s cleaning up…

Oprah got a big ol’ broom – she’s cleaning up…

Whitney Houston got a little whisk broom… just a teaney weaney little whisk broom – but she’s cleaning up.”
