“A man living in Illinois has been dating a woman via Facebook for two years now, and has never once met or seen her in person. Apparently, the man sent his love interest $200,000, and was soon shocked to find that she never even existed.”
I don’t see myself sending $200,000 to my new Facebook boo, especially if I’ve never met the individual face-to-face.
Boo-bear better be doing something strange for some change or shaking it fast for some cash to get me to come up off of those funds. But not everyone shares my sentiment, which is why Mr. Loverman in Illinois got duped.
I’m just amazed his invisible-better-half kept up the charade for two years. But then, his acts of generosity and frequent money mailings during the course of the imaginary relationship probably made it hard to say good-bye.
